According to a WDEF 12 2009 news article "

Lt. Charles Lowery, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, "A lot of the rural roads are curvy. Most of them are two lane so."

Lt. Lowery also stated that, "A lot of times you may come upon a curve that you weren't anticipating and with it being a two lane road and some of them not having shoulders then that can lead to a problem also of correcting or over correcting which will result in a collision."

Whether you're in the country or the city, officers around the globe are urging drivers to buckle up, slow it down and pay attention on the roads.

In my experience of as a personal injury attorney, practicing in Polk County, FL, I have seen a number of deadly collisions. As stated by Lt. Lowery, rural roads can be dangerous. I have especially seen this where the driver is from out of town and not familiar with the unique curving of the road.
